i’m annie, founder of places & pillows — creative studio shaped by a love of interiors, atmosphere and design-led travel. I capture warm, cinematic visuals  for boutique hotels and hospitality brands, blending editorial detail with a relaxed, lived in feel to showcase spaces exactly as guests experience them.
Alongside photography, my background in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry has given me an understanding of hotels from both sides; how a property wants to be seen, how it communicates its story, and what ultimately draws guests in.

my approach

Hotel photography, with a vintage twist. My work has a distinctive, vintage-inspired feel: warm tones, soft light, natural moments and all the little details that give a property its personality.
I like my images to feel less staged and more like a memory of actually being there, while still creating beautiful, professional imagery that works for your brand.
No two properties are the same, and I don’t think their imagery should be either. Each space leads the story, with my own warm, cinematic and slightly nostalgic style running through it.

  • I offer digital and film photography, short-form video and content creation for hotels, stays and hospitality brands. Projects can include interiors, food & beverage, lifestyle imagery, editorial-style photography., polished 4K B-roll and nostalgic camcorder footage.

  • My work has a warm, cinematic and slightly nostalgic style, with a vintage feel running through both my digital and film photography. I focus on capturing not just how a property looks, but the atmosphere, details and moments that make you want to experience it for yourself.

  • Both. The right format depends on the property and the amount of content required. Overnight shoots are particularly suited to capturing different times of day and more of the overall guest experience.

  • Every project is different, so pricing is tailored to the property, shoot requirements, deliverables and intended usage. Once I know a little more about what you’re looking for, I’ll put together a quote based on your project.

  • Usage is agreed before the shoot based on where and how the imagery will be used. Extended licensing can also be arranged if required.

  • As early as possible is always best, particularly for overnight and international shoots, although shorter-notice projects may be possible depending on availability.

  • I’m based in the UK and available for shoots across the UK and internationally.
